Huawei Uganda Launches Mobile Broadband Demo Truck Show

The 5-day demo is set to showcase Huawei's latest converged communications solutions and philosophies to enhance its brand industry leadership, with a theme; connected possibilities- make it possible.

Radoslaw Kedzia, MD, Huawei Uganda, stated: "We aim at introducing new trends and concepts of ICT transformation, infrastructure transformation and successful business operation transformation with the latest ICT convergence solutions exhibited in the truck. For our telecom operators, we intend to bring to you the latest on IT/CT transformation like storage, VAS cloud platform and SDP." Hon. Nyombi Thembo, the State Minister for ICT and guest of honor at the event, stated that: "I commend Huawei Technologies for their continuous innovations in the field of ICT, as government we shall continue supporting them in their endeavors." The following topics shall be presented to the guests between 18th and 22nd August; industry trends, ICT transformation, software-defined mobile, in-depth Network Optimisation, convergent LTE Haul, In-depth Network optimisation, convergent LTE Haul and so much more.

Gionee has launched the  Elife S5.1  in India for Rs 18,999(US $312). The S5.1 is Gionee’s slimmest smartphone and is expected to hit store shelves next week. Earlier this year, Gionee said that the Elife S5.1 has been recognised by guinness book of World Records as the slimmest smartphone in the world. However,  Oppo recently launched R5 , has replaced the S5.1 as the slimmest smartphone in the world. The Elife S5.1 comes with a metallic frame and glass body at just 5.1mm thickness. Design-wise, it’s quite similar to its predecessor – Elife S5.5. Though the device is now slimmer than the Elife S5.5, it comes with rather toned-down specs.
